The Tower District Marketing Committee works year round to secure economic opportunities through private and public investment in our historic business district, and through events that create opportunities to build community and support small businesses. Our unique events such as our annual Mardi Gras Parade, Taste and Toast of Tower, Pooch Parade, and pub-crawls draw in people from all over the Central Valley and provide our residential neighborhood with easy access to exciting community events.
In 2020 we worked to secure grants to expand outdoor dining, supported local artists by investing in murals, and helped secure City funding for our shuttered performing arts venues, organizations and art galleries. In 2020 and through the spring of 2021 TDMC suspended events and instead worked to secure PPE and other critical resources for business to allow them to continue serving the community safely and keep their doors open. Together, we worked to unify a neighborhood.
